Seriously. What other manufacturer is putting out this type of performance for the average man. Ford is no where close and the Dodge boys are a one trick pony. I'm little bit jealous that I bought my SS as soon as I did. I would've never thought GM would have the 1LE and ZL1 out only months after the SS. Good times that's for sure.

Great, but GM needs to offer a removable roll-bar -- the only way one can drive this car on many tracks. Had to add the same to my '01 Camaros SS Vert to run at Road America!

For GM to talk about this car as a track model w/out roll-bar option is rather silly!!!

Except the spoiler which we have seen as "shorter", does somebody know if there is any other difference between the coupe and the convertible, in all kinds of aspect?

Don't say the rooftop

^ I just noticed the convertible seems to have the regular SS wing as well. IMO, the larger, more aggressive wing of the coupe looks much better...

Sorry if I missed it mentioned already. Just read on another site that the convertible does not get the Ediff.

It will have it. Was the other site a comment from pee wee herman, i mean, the pill?

EDIT:

"Chevrolet today revealed the 2017 Camaro ZL1 convertible. It offers comparable performance to the coupe model, thanks to the Camaro’s modular and rigid body architecture, which was designed at the outset to support a high-performance convertible. As a result, only a few minor structural differences separate the coupe and convertible models, enabling the coupe’s track-honed chassis and driver control systems to carry over unchanged. The Camaro ZL1 convertible goes on sale in early 2017."

"and driver control systems to carry over unchanged"

seems pretty clear to me. Haters gonna hate.

Hard top Convertible?

Do you think Chevy will ever do a hard top convertible? I like the look of them better. Check out the new Miata for reference http://dp8hsntg6do36.cloudfront.net/...fe9917high.mp4.

Not for this generation at least. I didn't open your link but I do like the new hard Top Miata a lot but IIRC the hard top version is a targa and not a true vert.

Well I can promise I won't parrot anything the pill is throwing out. It looks like they updated the article.

I'd kind of want to see one with either a retractable hard top or just a hard cover that you'd need to manually put on. Either way, however, because of the wacky shape of the C pillar on the 6th gens, they will need to redesign this to look more like the 5th gen C pillar for it to work. That's sort of what they did with the convertibles.
