Sound System

Does anyone else feel like not a lot of sound comes out of the door speakers? I've had my 2SS a few days and it keeps bugging my wife. The sound isn't that impressive. All of the audio settings are pretty neutral and another one at the dealer seemed to sound similar. Are we nuts?Any thoughts?

Have you messed with the tone settings at all?

Makes a big difference.

Otherwise, I'd say 90+ % of the 2SS/2LT owners on here are pretty happy with the stock Bose system.

This definitely seems to be the case in mine. Glad that's at least the way other cars are. Wife had me questioning if that's right.

I appreciate all the answers on here. LOVE the forum. Does anyone have suggestions for their audio settings?

I feel like the bass is weak. Sounds alright for stock but I would like more umph.

I have not heard this system yet. But every Bose system I have heard or owned sounds unconventional to me. Amar Bose was all about psychoacoustics, and this philosophy colors all his company's products. MIT still features some of his lectures on their website. It is interesting stuff. But I am still waiting to hear a Bose system that knocks my socks off. I hope this is the one. Because there is a lot going on with DSP and noise cancellation which will probably make it hard to easily modify this 9-speaker system. I suspect one can easily make it louder, but not necessarily better.
