Does any company make a 'multi-mode' exhaust for non NPP systems? I would be happy with just loud and quiet settings.

I wish I would have got the NPP option. You can always upgrade to an aftermarket exhaust...but I guess you can't have the NPP installed if it didn't come with the car. The standard exhaust is definitely an improvement over the OE 5th Gen exhaust though.

I wanted it on my car. My salesman either out right lied to me or he was blowing smoke out of his a$$ and had no clue when he told me the dealer could install the NPP mufflers. Even went so far as to order a pair. I'm just wondering if I have any recourse against the dealership at this stage. I would've never bought the car without the NPP mufflers if he hadn't assured me they could install them.

You probably could have refused to take delivery, spoke to a manager...but if you took it...it may be too late.

Yeah. I took delivery with the salesman's assurance that they could install the NPP. So I guess I'm stuck with a car I will never be quite satisfied with. Don't get me wrong, I love the car. Just that it seems to be incomplete. I will always know in the back of my mind that it is not exactly what I wanted. My OCD is kicking in.

I sent the salesman an email last week expressing how upset I was (read pi$$ed off). So far he hasn't responded and when I stopped by the dealership on Tuesday his co-workers told me he was off. Funny thing - he knew I was coming and his car was there. I think he was ducking me. If I don't hear from him by early next week I think I will talk to the Sales Manager. If he gives me no satisfaction I'll just keep going up the ladder until someone makes me happy. I going to see how far up the food chain my complaint needs to go before someone takes responsibility.

That is real crappy of them to do that to you. I don't doubt that the salesman thought he was right...but the fact remains he had no idea what he was talking about.

Maybe he was talking about the accessory exhaust?

It's a shame you didn't have more information from the website going into it.

I wonder if they could get you the accessory exhaust comp'd for the trouble. There's a couple of members here who've done it, and it sounds great. Includes an active noise cancellation flash for the computer.

That might do the trick. I'm working at home tomorrow and the dealership is only 10 minutes away. I think I'll stop by unannounced and do a little bitching.
