It's all some of them have to hold on to. That and the Mustang is cheap.

The S550's fastback roof and rear look sexy. Especially in bright colors. The front looks like it's too big and swells at the front and I also see the headlights giving a fish face.

Camaro's front and profile look agressive and make the gen5 dated. The rear looks better in person but can (will) be improved with the blade spoiler, black taillights and black bow ties.

The Mustangs interior looks old fashion compared to the ultra modern Camaro.

The Camaro's performance puts it into an entirely different league. The Camaro V6 acceleration is closer to the GT than the GT is the SS. The ZL1 will run with the Hellcat at the drags and GT350R at the track.

I like them both, at first I didn't because the previous gens look good, but both of them grew on me, even the challenger looks nice just like the camaro dodge people didn't want a huge design change

Styling for me is a toss up, but think they both look good. But It looks like ford has a diff biz model than gm. I just tried to build a mustang with the equip on my 2LT/RS and could mot really build an upcontent mustang, i had to go to the v8 to get most of the things on my car. That would kill the mustang for me right there. Dont need the V8.

I only like the 2015+ Mustang from certain angles. The more I look at it, the more I don't like it. I prefer the previous body style.

As far as the cars are compared in stock form, the Mustang honestly looks a lot better than the Camaro, especially from the rear end. Look at Rob13567's photo. Count the number of design elements on the rear of the Mustang vs the Camaro. It's way simpler overall and easier on the eyes.

Swap out the SS spoiler with a dovetail, and the gap starts to narrow a little. I think the 6th gen can look great with some aftermarket customization, but a clean stock Mustang even in basic v6 trim admittedly looks really nice. It's like it's trying less hard to impress you with an understated design, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Most people even doing a "girl test" prefer the mustang in looks. Period the Camaro dosnet look as good but as soon as you drive each of them you never want a mustang again hah.

I think there are styling cues I like better in both of them. Over all, the Camaro is better looking. If the Mustang didn't look so front end heavy, I think it would probably win the comparison...just my opinion. The Mustang is definitely not the better car, quality and performance wise, I think the Camaro is a winner.

yes there are both pros and cons to both, I like the rear of the mustang but the camaros front design is better, sides are draw to me. Mustang has more spacious interior but don't like the chrome everywhere, camaro's more modern looking. performance wise not good for the mustang more of a grand tourer compared to the camaro(look at the overhangs on the mustang from a side view)

I like the new Mustangs looks, it looks nice in person, but I'm more of the modern type. Im not much of a retro guy, I never was, my brother and father are more of the old car types but I'm not....idk i love the athletic and curvy looks. The mustang is more retro looking and the Camaro is definitely more modern with not as much throw back cues. Which in my mind is good! its time to let go of the past. The only thing i wish they kept was the Gills on the sides!!! :(

They're both good designs, and good looks are subjective to each person.

I think it'd be a stretch to say the new Mustang is a "flop" in terms of design given how well it's selling internationally and domestically.

Personally I think the S550 looks much better than the 6th gen Camaro. While I like the what they did with the 6th gen, I personally feel they played it to close to the 5th gen and played it to safe and IMO the 5th gen was extremely stale. In person, I just prefer the lines of the S550. It just does it for me. The S550 still make me turn my head when I see one, while the 6th gen I look at it to try and see if its a 15 or a 6th gen.

I like them both. I also like the 5th gen just as much as the 6th. I'd have no issues driving a 6th gen Mustang. I'm currently trying to convince the wife to get a 6th gen ZL1. But she hates the gen 6 Camaro. Says it looks just like the Mustang now LOL. Seems even when I get off the forum I can't escape the 5 vs. 6 debate.
