You have to have the dealer activate the onstar, setup the onstar account online, download the app, then do a locate my vehicle on the map services page. I already had the onstar app for other vehicles so it was a matter of the dealer to call and activate it.

After seeing this I had to follow. My dealer told me he would activate it tomorrow.

Weird thing for me I got my account number and did it all myself, no dealer activation

I cant get my dealer to do squat... they need a dope slap. I'm spending over 50K and the sales guy tells me to call him when I know the invoice has been sent. So, I think I'll wait until they until they contact me with invoice before I "overburden" them with anything else.
Then, I have your steps saved and I will go for it.

Lhughes said he did it on his own. Maybe he called onstar with his vin? See if he can shed some light on how he did it?

Just called OnStar. Vehicle has to be pre-enrolled with them by dealer first. Back to the overburden/dope slap thing... I think I will have to wait until I have the invoice from them.

Is it common that a dealership takes delivery before customer orders? I think this is the first one I've seen. Sidenote: Middle Tennessee is really winning right now!

They very well could have one by now. I don't think they take the time and effort to go first built first out. It's all random.

They nominally group builds by direction but actually shipping is pretty random. I do not believe there is anything to indicate an order is customer or stock so dispatch picks and chooses for their convenience.

You are the buyer and the Sales man should do everything for you. You have the right to get information like that, you are the one paying them.

What happened for me is when I had VIN number I signed up on Onstar once I had account number from dealer. Calling onstar does nothing they say hit button in car to start service
