It works AWESOME for that! You can speak your destination and off you go. Turn by Turn. And it shows the map with traffic too!. You can also pinch to zoom in and out.

My software was supposed to be updated. The software version # is 84089010. I can't get it to work at all even with the Android auto app opened on my phone. I've tried my Nexus 6p running Android N dev preview and my Nexus 6 running Android 6.0. Both phones show they are charging when I plug them in but the projection icon doesn't change. Does anyone have ideas about what's up?

You did click on the projection icon right?

Yes. I get a message saying to plug in a compatible device. I'm wondering if they updated it but not all the way to the Android auto update

GM finally emailed me about getting the update. So be on the lookout those unfortunate people who are going to idiot dealers refusing to update until you get the invitation.

Glad I only had to deal with the 3 hour wait and not that nonsense
