We'll see what happens. Not trying to be a downer, I just feel it's a little soon for this. Maybe the 6th gen won't actually have that long of a production run in general before a 7th gen, especially since Ford seems to intend to move more aggressively toward an all new car in 2020 based on rumors. Who knows.

being first to market is rarely a bad move. when it comes to camaro vs mushtang, my guess is very small % swing buyers to go after in the hipo category...first to market is huge.

in terms of keeping things interesting for the next 5 years, there's still z28, and a refresh or two, i really dont think spacing them out for this reason is good. they do their due engineering and developement diligence and put the car out when it is ready.
