So the issues I have experienced are strictly for the S7. I have reported the problem to GM, Verizon, and Google. Hope next update will correct this issue. I am sure it will with time.

Click on it and make sure it set to MTP (media transfer protocol). Its possible Samsung changed the default for quick charging. When you change it it wont change the default however every time it's connected to the car it will use MTP. I have no way to test this as I have a Nexus 6P. |

I've seen some quirkiness on my S6 potentially caused by bluetooth. Android auto forces a bluetooth connection, even in airplane mode and even if you unpair at the car and on your phone, even if you remove permissions in Marshmallow (tested that on my Nexus) the minute you plug in, bluetotoh is enabled (heh, was funny cuz airplane mode was still on) and you are connected.
I found that forgetting/unpairing my previous pairing (on my phone and headunit) that i did prior to the android auto update has helped. I was getting periodic device lockups on my S6 or unresponsive apps on the android auto interface (google music wouldn't open). All seems to be better now but i'm still not ruling out a bad cable. Need to test more days as the issues weren't frequent. |

Took about 2 1/2 hours total. I have no issues with my S7(ATT) and Android Auto. Everything works perfect!

Andddd I still can't get the update...
Called all 3 GM dealers in my town Chevy, GMC, and Caddy all saying they don't have the software. Also my original dealer has gotten all pissy me regularly asking about it saying until it's a official recall I've been notified about I shouldn't even be bringing it up unless there is a specific problem i'm having. Despite all the info I've given them... Took it in yesterday when the touch screen stopped responding to see if it needed update fix and they said they new nothing of the problem and I'd have to leave it with them while also trying to talk down to me again about the Android Auto thing. Other dealer I called ran my VIN and saw no notices mentioning Android Auto for my car so they said they couldn't help.

It works really well, just don't like that it locks your phone so you can't use it.
