Reworked my sub this weekend. Cleaned it up a bit. Pics don't show how much the fabric matches or how well the box fits. Sounds great. Nothing to fancy, not trying to have everyone around me listening to my music. It's awesome inside and that's what really matters. And yes the back seat stays closed. Fits great. Pics of the trunk were before I cleaned it up and secured the box.

I dont get the last picture. is that a rework of what you see in the second to the last picture? You didn't enclose the amp inside a tiny box, right?

Not finished yet, that was just a test fit of the shelf to hide everything. But yes the amp in hidden in there. I left a 1/2 gap on top of the shelf and a fan on the side of the box to circulate air. 4" fan. Still need to trim around the lower shelf area and finish the edges. Was just taking pics as I went along. Plan on finishing this weekend and will be alot cleaner looking. Even without a fan, the amp would be fine.

Does the pre-amp splice into the bose amp inputs? Seems like you got enough to run all the way to the headunit. Just asking because coming from 4th gen and older, the stock units never utilized pre-amps to oem amps, so I was concerned that the bose amp's inputs were all coming from the head unit's amplified speaker outs.

I'm going to be doing some audio re-wiring in the next week or so to have the car's microphone bypass onstar and be tied directly into the headunit's mic input.

Basically bose outputs.Could not find a input, I assume because its a digital signal going into the amp and being converted. I just tapped directly to the rear deck speakers terminals. And used a LOC2sl connector for remote wire and to convert to RCA outputs. Works great. It was a different install then I'm use to.

Just looking at the link, I don't think it's being used by anyone. Just something the company is trying to get adopted/market.

It is MOST 50. Which is electrical MOST over twisted pair. That's all that I can say. ;-)

MOST50

MOST50 doubles the bandwidth of a MOST25 system and increases the frame length to 1024 bits. The three established channels (control message channel, streaming data channel, packet data channel) of MOST25 remain the same, but the length of the control channel and the sectioning between the synchronous and asynchronous channels are flexible. Although MOST50 is specified to support both optical and electrical physical layers, the available MOST50 Intelligent Network Interface Controllers (INICs) only support electrical data transfer via Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP).

Rewired my sub output today and replaced the sub carpet. Took a couple of pics of where I wired it to the front right speaker output from the amp. It's mostly a clean bass signal. Sounds so much better then wired to the rear deck speakers.

I guess it works, if you only care about the right channel bass content, and the front door's low end eq is higher than the stock subwoofer's eq.

Hooked up sub only. Left front, right front there was no difference in sound at all. My 5th gen with amp and sub. Smokes this piece of shit Bose system all day long. If this car does have ANC I sure wish that the people who say they disabled their mics would post where they are located. And how they did it. I actually wired it to the sub output in the end.

It would be interesting to hear a drum solo that fades left to right. I'll have to set it up on my bench tomorrow and give it a listen. My guess, not too good.
