How do I remove front license plate bracket on my ss

The dealer installed it and I want it off. It has rivets or something and I can't get it off.

Why they make this so hard to remove is odd

Anyone know how to remove it?

Are you sure it has rivets? Mine didn't. Just a couple of screws and it was off.

What are you planning to do with the holes that were left in your bumper?

the bumper area where the plate is attached is a small piece of black plastic, not the actual fascia.
You might not even notice the holes or you could push in a couple small black x-mas tree clips.

Exactly what BradfordCamaro stated above. The holes are not apparent at first sight. You actually have to bend down to have a look at them.

Does your state require front license plates? If Yes then the dealer will not remove it. Mine did not because of that reason so I removed it later when I got home.

You can ask them not to install it.

Yes that would have been a possibility if I had ordered my car from them, then I would have requested the frame not put on upon delivery but I bought one they had on the lot so they wouldn't remove it...but maybe some remove them after installing them so that's good. It really is a couple of screws nothing more.
