I had a 2010/camaro and did not have to remove the front facia to change a bulb. I had no issues replacing and bulbs in this car in less then 5 min. Adding a resistor adds a little time, but to replace front, back, side markers it's easy as hell.

Maybe the walk through I saw included removing the headlight assembly in addition to the bulbs.
Avoiding resistors isn't about saving time. It's about lower power usage... One of the primary benefits of leds |

Would be nice not to have to use resistors. But most people are not switching to LEDs to lower power usuage. It's all about looks. Or a benefit such as brighter reverse lights, fog lights. Most modern cars have to use resistors. Mechanical/ electronic relays are going away for bcm control. It is what it is. I remember people trying to find a work around on the 5th gen for 6 yrs. Never happened. Resistors are not bad to me or enough of a issue to worry about finding a workaround through the bcm which could beef the computer.
