I had heard of issues with poor final paint application from others on this forum who posted fairly emphatically about the areas of the car that were most apt to show evidence of the problem. On delivery of my car, I asked the dealership to clean the car and arranged acceptance of the vehicle in broad daylight in the morning. I went over the car from top to bottom, side to side and front to back looking for any evidence of poor paint or any indication of poor assembly. My car was perfect...maybe the best assembly I've ever experienced in over 70 car purchases.

I know the human being is imperfect and unfortunately most of the people who build and inspect these vehicles probably don't own a product manufactured in their plant, so they may not care.

The OP should see an attorney and name the dealership that doesn't care about the customer so no one else has similar care less issues from that dealership. I am truly sorry this has happened to a consumer from a multi-billion dollar company that could have made this right, day one. I'm crossing my fingers that they get you a replacement quickly and you're eventually happy with your purchase. I am.

Think I would have felt much better if it was more than a 4 work reply and address me proper and acknowledged me as a person , considering she ignored my last text message, and had my car for a week and lied to chevrolet and said there was nothing wrong with my car , and after forwarding photos on here through customer service and getting connected to the right channel, I'm finally after almost 2 months getting attention and she had to eat crow when the district manager , compared my car to 2 other camaros and then decided to take pictures took notice to the issues my paint my case in point , this should have been addressed 2 months ago instead of more people not doing their job and making a great car look bad ...... End of rant good bye I won't be looking back on this

As a General Motors employee I'm deeply sorry for what you and your wife are going through with this whole situation. I work at one of the press metal plants so I really don't have the power too bring about the change that's needed.
The assembly plants final inspection crew really dropped the ball badly on this one.
The dealership dropped the ball when they obviously didn't either inspect the car when it came in or they knew the issue existed and purposely let it slide.
You shouldn't accept a repaint of the car, force them too replace it or contact your local media outlet about your issue and see how quickly everything starts too role than.
I had an issue with my 13 Mustang which Ford tried too weasel out of 50 miles into ownership, a similar but less dramatic situation with my paint on the Stang.
It took me a month too get them too agree too a new vehicle exchange, of course threatening them with the local news station consumer help line pushed it along quickly.
Good luck, and again I'm sorry that your going through this.

I love Key & Peele. Too bad they decided to end the show.

Anyway, this thread is officially derailed at this point. That's not too uncommon for posts that start of as general venting / complaints about lack of QC. People see red, and then begin taking issue with really crazy things like whether or not a text message from a dealership is properly formatted. The car has problems, sure, but if we're focusing so hard on defects, maybe we should also look at the defects in our own character and why certain things upset us when they shouldn't. Anger management might not be a half bad idea. I don't mean that to be rude or as a joke, I mean it with all sincerity.

Talk about high strung sheeeeesh. If you expect everyone to respond to text messages with proper form and salutations then I see a lot of disappointment in your future. Maybe you should just stick to phone calls so there's no confusion.
