256 g SD Card

A while back I reported that in order to get around the limited amound of USB INPUTS, especially after committing one to the phone, that left one. I hooked a cheap 4 in 1 USB hub into the single USB left and bingo it found every drive that I had hooked into it, including a 64g SD CARD in a USB to SD reader. Tonight I got my 256g SD CARD from Amazon, formatted it MS-FAT EX-FAT did not work, dumped about 128g of tunes on it ...slipped it into the USB TO SD READER then into the USB HUB in the console..and WALA.....all of the folders showed up.
Just letting you all know in case you are interested .

Reminds me that I've been meaning to check if the head unit supports FLAC and vorbis natively or just mp3.

It says a large variety...so there may be more...

Edit:

Straight from the owners manual:
Quote:
The USB port can play both lower
and upper case .mp3, .wma, .ogg,
and .wav files stored on a USB
storage device.
The infotainment system supports:
. FAT16.
. FAT32.
. exFAT.

I think i'll test it out after work today.

Both individual flac files and single flac files with cue to denote tracks.

Thank you sir... keeping fingers crossed. Most of my collection is FLAC but, I've been converting songs to 320 MP3 and putting them on my Iphone. It would be nice to skip that for my new car if it ever gets built. :p

If I have movies saved to my phone (I got a 64gb Iphone 6S but haven't used more than 25% of the space yet)...will it play the movies on the screen via Carplay?
