For reference my car was produced that last week of Jan and turned up at the dealers in Maryland by the 16th Feb. Unfortunately I'm away so I've still not collected her :-(.

My car went back to 'bayed' back on Thursday when it arrived at Hamtramck...been there ever since. I called GM and had my case escalated to a senior adviser who is supposed follow up with the shipping and my dealer to see whats going with it. mxair2001 |

I had taken this week off (bday is today) thinking that my car would for sure be here by now. Had plans to head over to Houston and show a friend the car, drive up to Ft Worth and get some stuff done at BigWorm's shop, head up to OKC and check out a game for the heck of it, swing over to Lubbock and visit some family, and then back down to Austin. And now I am just sitting here twiddling my thumbs because I don't have my car still.... |

Yes I remember those threads. The 10/12 group had many of their Camaro's in qc hell forever like you and I are currently going through. My salesman sent me a text on Friday with a picture showing 6 days total remaining for transit. So allegedly my Camaro will take 6 days for transit transportation. On Saturday he sent me a picture showing my car for pre delivery inspection. His regional rep assured him my Camaro will ship this upcoming week so we will see I guess.
I don't know what accessories I would order b/c I don't like stripes so I'm leaning towards the service dept breaks like more free oil changes and putting on my new wheels and tires stuff like that for free. My new wheels are getting delivered tomorrow and my tires should be here by Friday. A member from this forum gave me their $1,000 private offer so I just got that on Friday. Hopefully you got one of those private offers b/c the Conquest offer ends Monday. |

My car arrived in Hamtramck on March 3rd...and according to my dealer, they were supposed to have 3 business days to ship it, which would have been March 8th. That obviously didn't happen since it's now the 13th and still no movement on it.
As far as accessories, I think I would try and get the dark tail lights. I don't qualify for conquest, so I'll see about getting a private offer today probably. |

I am not sure where that 3 days came from. I do not recall seeing it on other car forums, such as Corvette, and I do know from reading the Camaro6 posts if it is a rule it is the most violated rule in existence.
There is no 3 day rule. Laborsmith |

That's just what I was told by my dealer, here is what he said: "I did get on the phone this morning with transportation department. The status being bayed on his end has a 3 business day window for shipping meaning from Friday morning to Tuesday. I was advised to check on Wednesday morning and follow up on shipping. I did express your frustration to the contact, the only information he can share is current status. Nothing in the notes indicating why just that GM is making every effort to ensure a high quality product. The vehicle is marked as 'Hot' for sold shipping status. I can empathize with you on the time delay as the whole process of order to delivery and follow up is how we get measured and we have gotten off to a rocky start. Please know that I am doing all that can be done to get your Camaro here and ready for you to enjoy." Maybe I am understanding it wrong? |

I guess it depends on how trusting you are of GM as well as how many hours a business day lasts. If the business day runs from 72 to 168 hours, then the rule is more viable but breached as often as not.
So your order may arrive at your dealership tomorrow, or it may not. Laborsmith |
