Got new Wheels... how to reset the tire pressure monitor?

Hey guys,

I got some new tires/wheels recently and they have the sensor in them according to the business I bought them from, but needs the monitor reset. Anybody know how to do that without going to the dealer? Right now I don't get any pressure readings from my dash.

I have been wondering this too. There is a GM tool for this, but it might not work on the new Camaro with a new RF on the '16. The early 5th gens did not need a tool and you could do it with settings.

Page 286 here, looks like you need the tool.

This guy right here for $60. At least according to the manual, I'm not 100% if it will work with the 6th gen or not.

Before you could do it without the tool by letting air out of the tire. I had to do this two days ago when I traded off my 5th gen. This tool looks to be much more convenient.

The EL-50448 Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Activation Tool will work on the 2016.

My dealer had to do it and make sure you buy the correct sensors for the 16 model.

My son works at Discount Tire, he said they can do it. I don't think he's done a 2016 but he said they can program sensors.

Oh really? I'll check them out. I'm supposed to go to my dealer soon anyways to get a muffler replacement under warranty (has some rattling). If they try to charge me to do it, i'll just take it to Discount. Thanks!
