The Corvette you're referring to was a Chevrolet centennial edition, which was offered in 2012.

The 2003, 50th anniversary edition Corvette came in an exclusive Anniversary Red Pearl Metallic with Shale interior.

I don't think we're going to see a Z car for 17 at this rate unless it's a late announcement. I doubt it, though, because the 1LE is coming out very late this year and was announced well in advance.

It appears not...50th on 2SSs....the 1LE is limited to 1SS.

Though the announcement mentioned a unique badge on all car's steering wheels. I think that's a nice touch.

For the 50th Anniversary they should build the Camaro with a cigarette lighter, AM only radio with one dashboard speaker, wind-wings, foot-well lights, a full size spare tire, drum brakes and a three speed manual trans with a column shifter....all to help recapture the glory of 1967....lol....

Maybe they didn't have it on the press 1LE but did you happen to see this special badge on that car's steering wheel? I think it said it will be on all 2017's.

Performance Pack standard (manual and automatic)
Unique 3-layered rear quarter windows
Chrome window and taillight trim
Unique wheels
Two-tone interior and cashmere stitching
Limited to just 1,965 vehicles total

so basically the biggest diference are fancy windows (Im too dumb to know what 3-layered windows actually get you) window trim (yay?) and some exclusivity

(performance pack is equiv to 2SS/LT in my book; this has unique wheels; this has uniqe interior)

We still have NY, which is where everyone is betting the ZXX will be announced and 1LE is an option package, not a specific model

2017 will be (I expect) the only time Chevy is the only show in town for a Track Rat (1LE) and Grand Tourer (ZXX)

You misread what I said....what I said is that the mustang hardly offered any more than this aside from color and I stand by that statement. Im fully aware of what the 50th Mustang had to offer thank you very much. The only other thing worth mentioning is PP in auto which was nice, but you know it pissed people off that they could only get an auto PP in the 50th package an not a regular GT.

The other stuff you mention is all the same "fluff" that everyone here is complaining about.
