Galaxy S6 Bluetooth Connectivity issues..

So my S6 seems to hate my SS. Constantly connects and disconnects from the car. I get "Bluetooth has stopped" errors on it frequently when connected to the car as well. Anyone else have any issues like this with same or any phone?

No issues here with my S6, always connects via BT and stays connected. What version of Android you have 5.1.1? Have you tried unpairing and deleting the device, then repairing again? BT is a PITA sometimes, has a mind of its own.

As SS said, make sure you are on 5.1.1. My note Edge was having that issue (5.01). Verizon is slow as hell to release the newest updates! Bought a new LG v10. Havent had an issue since (5.1.1)

Check Application Manager and see what is running...something running that uses BT or really any app that shouldn't be running could be causing an issue.

Boot into recovery and wipe cache. That should solve your issue then.

Galaxy S6 Recovery Mode
-Power Down the Galaxy S6
-Press and Hold the Power Button, Volume Up Button and the Home Buttons at the Same Time
-Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See Some Blue Text at the Top
-When You See the ‘Recovery Booting….” Text, Then Let Go of These Buttons
-Wait Until the Galaxy S6 Fully Boots into the Recovery Mode

Wipe Cache there.

I checked out the S7/S7 Edge yesterday...nice phones, but not worth upgrading from my S6. Not liking the thicker phones making room for larger batteries though.

Was just thinking that as well...any time you do updates, cache needs to be cleaned. I run CCleaner on mine all the time as well, cleans out so much cached crap.

before wiping cache and factory resetting and all that ...

Read this post http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...ml#post4563647

It seems if your contact list is large it may cause issues syncing correctly. Even if it's small, I would try this before wasting a bunch of time clearing caches or factory resetting (all things done by the people in that thread to no avail).

EDIT: I would also read the posts following that one if you still have problems. I disabled my onstar so I believe bluetooth calling is non-functional - which could explain why I have had absolutely no problems. I use the bluetooth to stream music, that's it (until android auto patch comes out).

Looks like message access is the real culprit. Will try it out. Thanks for the info!

I've noticed that when I keep my S6 in my pocket, normally left pant pocket, I get the disconnected/connected message repeatedly while in the car. But if I place my phone in the cup holder or charging tray, it seems to stay connected.

This is hilarious as early on I realized the same. Disabling message privileges seems to have done the trick but I dislike not be able to have this capability. Oh well Android Auto update goin in today.

My garage door doesn't open or close unless I'm directly in front of it either. Maybe they forgot to install an antenna in my car =)
