Dyno / 16 Camaro SS (A8, stock)
I had some baseline pulls done this morning. The three runs were almost identical with the last run being the best. I did log on the scanner if anyone is interested in that data. Thanks to Chris at RPM Motorsports! All runs were done in 5th gear. The AFR curve is based on a stoich of 14.7 rather than 14.11 but the lambdas follow pretty closely to what the commanded should be.

What is their issue with 5th? It isn't pushing the tires out of their rated speed.

Sledge can confirm, but I believe 5th is running the car above 150mph. 6th would go to 170+.

Good numbers, so no pulls in 6th gear at all. That is 1.1 and that where you'd normally get accurate numbers

For my use I was just establishing a baseline for my car that I can repeat consistently as I make changes down the road. The SAE correction alone is at best an estimate.
391 RWHP @ 15% loss = 460 391 RWHP @ 14% loss = 454 I'd say it's close enough

Serious question. Can someone explain why the LT1 is rated at the same amount of hp and tq but consistently seems to put more hp and less tq to the rear wheels? Is it because it was dynoed in 5th gear and 6th is 1:1?
Edit: As pointed out below, more TQ, not HP. Last edited by Eric SS; 03-01-2016 at 09:45 AM. |

More torque. The OP shows more torque than HP, and stock on a Mustang dyno we did 402 HP and 404 torque. Final numbers with a PTB and tune are in my signature.
