I have the same problem. Picked up my 2016 2LT and when I registered and created an online account it says my subscription is only for 3 months. Called XM and they told me call back in 3 months and they would extend the subscription. When I asked him why can't you extend the subscription now he gave me some BS why he couldn't do it. Going back to the dealer tomorrow and find out what the hell is going on.

I am sorry to hear this, osubuckeye. I can certainly understand your frustrations and would be happy to look into this on my end. Please send us a private message along with your VIN, current mileage, full contact information, and the name of your servicing dealership if this is something of interest.

Kindly,

Julie C

Same issue here. i spoke with the dealer and they told me only 3 months. i ended up calling Chevy customer service today and they called XM for me and they started a new 1 year subscription for me starting today. I recommend to just call Chevy customer care, it worked for me.

Anyone have a picture of the sticker that says we have a 1 year trial? When I picked up the car it had all the stickers removed and even the salesman said it was for 3 months. But in the back of my mind I knew it was a year thanks to this forum. Got my letter in the mail from SiriusXM today saying it is for 3 months.

Oh ok, I didn't look at it too detailed. But I have it in the glove compartment. Thanks!

Same issue here.. 3mo trial. XM Rep said to call the dealer and to have them call in. I told her that the dealer already told me to call XM since it's my account and to not speak on my behalf.

I pushed back to XM and I'm on hold again while they "look in to it further".

EDIT -- yeah, so now it's back to the dealer.. to get them to call in to have them tell XM to set it to 1yr.

Just called the number listed here stating that I received a letter that my 2016 Camaro trial would be expiring and is supposed to be a 12 month trial. Rep asked for radio ID which was on the letter they sent and asked if I wanted to add an email, which I did, and all is well. Took a total of maybe 5 minutes, if that. Very pleasant and simple.

Got it fixed in a minute. Just called XM.
But I wish I would have called at the end of 3 months. Now I have got 13 months free trail!
