Cam. Just one.

Just giving you a hard time.

FBO wont gain much on the LT1. The exhaust is rather decent for the car so the days of gaining 20-30 at the wheels with exhaust are done.

First full bolt on SS?

50whp with FBO and 93 octane and 60-70whp with E85 seems to be about the norm for C7s. It would probably be a bit less for the Camaro since it has better stock headers. The MSD IM may get you really close.

All those with no tune, you won't hit 500 rwhp. Even with a tune it's a stretch. 460 MAX to the wheels would be my assumption know the LT1. On pump gas 93 and on dynojet (reads higher than a mustang). On e85, yeah it'll hit 500+ on dyno jet and MAYBE on mustang.

Roots supercharge system or procharge is the best way to hit high numbers. When you follow them with other supporting mods which is what you are doing, it'll hit even be higher.

Intake, TB + IM + LT headers + axle back + tune will be around 430-450 (on 93 and depending on mustang or dynojet). E85 will be around 490-510 on dynojet.

Add cams and ported headers to that, you be VERY close if not at 500 on pump gas.

Funny considering I've personally seen a C7 stingray with atomic intake, TB, headers, exhaust and tune and it increased 63rwhp.

Time for a poll!

I'm guessing 462whp, which would give you low 11 with a good 60' I would think.

Pretty nuts for a bolt on, stock stall car.

With....

- Cold Air Intake
- Ported Throttle Body
- New Intake Manifold
- Headers
- XPipe
- Mufflers
- 93+ octane

Is maybe 85hp being generous for this car.

Might get close if you find a happy dyno that shows these cars at 420hp stock to the wheels.

You'll hit 450 to the rear roughly.

I've got the same set up.
About to order the cam and parts necessary to redo the heads

Currently on it.
American Racing Headers (don't over night them lol)
MSD Atomic airforce intake manifold
CAI (make shift for now)
Ported TB
Tune (file needed isn't available yet and has to be done the old fashioned way)

Makes 452 If I remember right and that was on a Mustang Dyno

450whp from what? What was the stock baseline?

The right cam with supporting parts will easily get over 100whp gain at peak. The problem with changing to a cam with more aggressive overlap and duration, thus limiting or eliminating your VVT range, is that you lose a noticeable amount of low and mid range power.

Cammed, I think 500 will be feasible. Guess we'll see.....

That's all pretty good info, but a baseline is still needed. Dynos, whether DJ or MD, can read all over the place. The gains before and after are the numbers that matter, not numbers from a single setup.

My stock tune 5.0 dynoed ~365 on a Mustang Dyno with a catless x pipe only. I've seen people post stock dynos from those cars all the way up to 400whp+. That doesn't mean that my car was down 30-40whp from other 5.0s, it just means that the dynos, conditions, tire loads, and probably a ton of other factors varied.

For example, a 2016 SS M6 made a pull at that same shop with some bolt-ons and 91 octane, and he made under 370whp. So, if he made some changes and made another pull to 450whp on that dyno, that would be a ton of power gained!

I'll have to go get another pull done to show the final numbers. I never grabbed a copy of the final pull, son was being a little impatient when I went to pick my car up

What do you mean by stock baseline? As in the stock dyno sheet? If so it's posted in the members car section
