Roof flex
Not really a issue, just a annoying thing I see every day. Has anyone noticed how much the roof flexes when u shut the car doors? Never had a car that has done that much flexing. Guess that it's normal?

My roof doesn't flex when closing the doors. I'd say don't close them as hard.

I'm just closing them normal like. Not shutting them hard at all.

The roof is thin, I have a sun roof, and when I wash or detail top, you can see how thin it is. You can press it down very easily.

I've seen the roof flex, too. At first I thought I was seeing things. My '13 1LE didn't do that... On some occasions when it's quiet out, I'll hear something, too. Hard to describe, but it comes from the roof skin or head liner.
If the roof is actually flexing, I wonder if metal fatigue might be a problem in the future...?

I am curious on how much flex you guys are also talking about it. For example: Does your roof shake when you close the door? Mine does NOT. |
