Dash rattles....

Yesterday we headed out with the car that cant get out of its way, (car limited to 85 mph) on the way to phoenix car sounded like it had a rattle coming from the dash, but there was lots of traffic, so we let it go for the time, on the way back home we had the road empty, that's when we found out thet its the radio screen that's making the rattle, so we have one more thing to add to the list, but yet there is more, how meany members cant see the screen, in the day time the reflection off the screen is so bad, when you look at it all you see are the seats.

I sometimes get a rattle near the push button start area, and around the drivers side center vent.

If you pull back slightly on the radio bezel, you should notice the noise goes away. I may make a little shim. Maybe that will quiet it down.

Ok, I hate to say this but why the hell haven't you got this crap figured out? Why is your dealer such an idiot that they cant figure out what suspension fault is making the car being limited to 85 MPH.

As far as the rattle, that SHOULD be an easy fix for a competent dealer which it looks like you don't have one. Find a new one.

LOL love your way of thinking, we have 2 plans where working on, 1 we are replacing the HMI to test and see if removing the locks on the video can do this, (we are 99.99% sure this did not brake the car but best to test) same for the BCM, and then there is all ways work with the dealer we got the car from, for me that's the best way, So we n\may be shipping the car back to MI, and get the new 2.0T back at the same time then fly out and drive back this car.

Thanks for the help guys.

I had both rattles, the bezel, and the screen. The bezel they fixed by adding some foam, that's secure now (before I was shoving my business card in the space between the top of the bezel and the dash to stop the rattling). But yes, there is definitely something behind the screen rattling too and I'm just trying to ignore it for the time being. The next time I go to the dealership for free oil change #2 (probably around 24,000mi), I'll have them look at it, maybe they'll just warranty the whole damn screen. This is really my ONLY rattle I notice.

I don't have any of the rattles...yet, but I to have an issue with the reflections of the seats on the screen. I think they could have used a better screen.
