USB Port
So from what I've been reading to set up/be able to use Apple car play you need to use the USB port? In the manual it says-if equipped (UBS) so does that mean the port is optional or what package/models is the USB port included on?
![]() Thanks

Look for the slots in your center console, all cars have it. But THANK YOU for reading the manual.

One you plug in your iphone and soon android (on 8' infotainment) it automatically goes into apply play. It's pretty nifty. |

FWIW... You can grab a small 4 port hub and tape it to the side wall put the business end into one of the USB slots. And you now have (4) +1. Works like a champ....

I've tried to look this up in the manual and it's a bit unclear to me: are the only USB ports in the center console under the armrest? Or are there any on the "dash" of the car near the infotainment screen? Or near the climate controls or shifter or ??? Since Apple CarPlay only works through USB, I was hoping not to have to drape a lighting cable from my windshield (where I'll mount my phone) across the console to under the arm rest... Thanks!

Well, yes, of course I get that. But I use the Waze navigation app. And since that's not supported on CarPlay (yet) and the Apple Maps suck, I will still be mounting my phone and using that for navigation.
