I'm 6'4" and the only issue is first in line at a stop light. I got the 2SS specifically because I wanted blind spot monitoring. I have it on the explorer and tundra as well, the latter which is much more difficult to see blind spots than the Camaro.

Try lowering your seat closer to the floor, I am 6'0 and I have no problems seeing a traffic light while being stopped and first in line.

Plus, If you have gotten the 2SS(or 2LT with blind spot monitor), it makes it even easier.

PLUS, with the awesome rear view camera I have never parked so good, rear end first.

Most of the lights here in Texas are horizontally mounted and not vertical. I think that makes a difference.

Coming from 3rd and 4th gen camaros, I don't notice any decreased visibility.

Very good point. We have a couple around here, but they're very few and far between.

I always wondered why lights weren't always mounted on the opposite side of the intersection...

I have never owned a Camaro before but I have drove several and yes visibility is bad compared to a 4 door sedan and many people have exaggerated the bad visibility I think. All you have to do is adjust your mirrors and actually turn your head and look before you change lanes just like you were hopefully taught when you first learned how to drive.

So if no one is having problems with the visibility why is this a common issue?

I would say for an experienced good driver that it is not a problem. Would I want my teenager to jump in one and feel good about it? No.

Visibility Problem?

Last time I learned to drive a car...there was never any requirement to look up or down like I was in flight, so I don't consider the low roofline a visibility issue....

And thanks to B pillars that are so far back, and mirrors that have the ability to adjust and eliminate blind spots around a short vehicle...I've never ever had a problem, either.

And for 2016, they shrunk the A-pillars to improve forward visibility.

Exactly. It's similar to the exaggeration made about the Challenger's size/weight. Yeah it's a big car purpose built primarily for straight line performance, but when I drove one a while back it really didn't cross me as THAT big or THAT HEAVY. It drove a little mushier than the Camaro or Mustang but not bad at all. The reporters just like to gripe about stuff.

When you build a car for everyone, you end up with a camry.

Certain people are going to have issues seeing out its windows, just like certain people would have issues being able to get out of my old 3rd gen camaro that was low enough to the ground that i could palm the pavement without leaning over. Every car that is awesome at something is compromising something else, but if you go in having dealt with similar or worse then it's not really a compromise for you.

This precisely.

On the other hand you could just quit being cheap and drop $300k on a McLaren 675LT and get all the space age tech and gizmos to give nearly everyone everything they want. Little steep for me though haha!
