Got my car back...but now strange noise

I really don't think I am just being paranoid. I got my car back today after they finally took 3 days to fix the mirror, and I had them do an oil change while it was there.
Here is the problem; every time I give it gas now, I can hear a 'pfff' sound, before the engine starts reving. Even if I just tap the gas for half a second, I can hear the sound. It also seems to be delaying the throttle response slightly. I guess the noise could be best described as similar to wet compressed air coming from an air hose....

The sound you are describing is how I would describe the sound of the throttle plate opening in the TB. That sound sounding louder than normal could be anything before the throttle body: loose air intake hose, loose airbox lid, PVC or breather hose disconnected, or even taking the air filter out and forgetting to put it back in (empty air box). I'd check those things to make sure you have an air filter in there and all connections between the air box and the throttle body are secure. Just start at the air box, inspect the filter, make sure the lid and all hoses are tight/connected all the way to the intake manifold.
