I start it up, let it warm up and turn the heater on.... Well...... ICE COLD air was the only thing coming out.. So I thought maybe I just need to drive around a little and really get the motor warmed up. I drive around for about 15 minutes and the air conditioning will not blow warm air. I drove back to work parked my car... Then I hear this humming noise. Look down and my car is running at about 220 degrees.. Definitely warmer than it should be and my engine fans were on the whole time (this was the humming noise I was hearing) trying to keep my motor cool. Turned car off, called dealer. Told them what was going on. We came to the conclusion that it hasn't gotten over 220 so it should be good to drive it to the dealer about 12 miles away. Hop back in the car about 45 minutes of it sitting, start driving to the dealer, get about 2 miles away from dealer and my temp start rising QUICKLY. Within 10 seconds it went from 220degrees to red line(260)...... Message popped up saying "engine overheating" I was in the process of pulling over and shut it off immediately. Call GM roadside assistance(SUCKED) dealer ended up having to call another wrecker to come pick me up. Was on the side of the road for an hour and a half!! Wrecker gets there and my car won't go into neutral without attempting to start it. Flatbed wrecker just hooks up from the front of my vehicle chains all the way to the back and drags the dang car on to the flatbed. And then when we get to the dealer he just shakes my car off the flatbed... It was not pretty! It was too dark to see if there was any damage but at this point, I have buyers remorse! I can't even enjoy this car and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. My dealer has been nothing but helpful but GM has been nothing but CRAP! I am worried that this wrecker probably damage the transmission by dragging the car the way he did.(any body have this happen before?) Will update when dealer figures out what is wrong but I really hope there was no motor damage or warped heads.. Please make this nightmare stop!!!
I hope you took pictures of the tow, to document it. Sounds like GM needs to just replace it at this point.

No way to take pictures because of where I was stranded. I was on a bridge with a shoulder the exact width of my car. Matter of fact, a mile up the road from where I was stranded, at the same time I was stranded, a person was hit by a car and killed.

There has been too many people (police and broke down citizens) that have been killed on the side of the road. I just was not taken the chances given the circumstances of where my car broke down. They are looking at it currently and will hopefully give me an update by the end of tonight on what they find. And I agree, a replacement is about the only thing now that could probably satisfy me.

Jeezuz! That's about the worst possible scenario. Not only does that put more weight on the rear tires, it also puts a helluva load on the front bumper, undercarriage, and it could have damaged anything along the way from front to back: exhaust, transmission linkages, oil pan, splash plates, wiring. :( Maybe you can have the dealer put it on a lift and have you out to look it over. Inspect for scrapes, dents, or stuff out of place underneath.

UPDATE!! 02/25/16

Dealer just called and said that the Auxiliary radiator on the passenger side was leaking. He said that the "coolant level was low but was not empty". They said they inspected it for any external damage such a rock puncture and couldn't find anything. He said something just failed in the radiator causing it to leak. He said the part should be in tomorrow and he hopes to have me up and running by this weekend.

Sounds to me like they dont know whats going on, track how many days this car is in for service, you may need to have that if this happens ones more time.

Good luck.

If that car's been in the shop for 4 of the 6 weeks you've owned it, I would be looking up your states lemon laws by now.

I have and it has to be in for the same repair three times or more. And be out of service for 45 calendar days. I'm keeping my eye on it. Trust me!!
