CEL light

Tonight I made a quick run to the grocery store and upon leaving the store I got a CEL light when I started the car. It is not flashing and it drives fine. I will update once I get the code read. Hopefully nothing too bad.

I got the code scanned by my tire shop and its the fan relay. So appointment with Chevrolet in the morning to get it fixed. I think I saw someone else on here had the same code/problem as well.

Just recently bought an OBD scanner dongle. Hope I don't get a check engine light, but at least now I'm prepared. And in the mean time, Torque is a pretty interesting app.

Was me that had the problem. I'm calling my dealer today to inform them and to pass it on. This is the fourth case of this happening.

Ok they had my car all day yesterday and most of today. They had to order the part. I had 2 codes. P0480 and P0691 both referring to cooling fan problems. They had to replace the cooling fan module due to internal fault caused by water shorting it out. There is in fact a bulletin out concerning this so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens to more Camaros.

Ugh. My car has had its share of issues and is in the shop now. This gives me one more thing to worry about. I almost feel ashamed saying this but some of these problems are giving me nightmares. I just had a dream last night that my car overheated bc of the thread on it!
