New 1LE at the NY Auto Show?

Do you think we will see the new 1LE(s) at the New York Auto Show? I would love to see them in person but the press days fall on my wife's birthday. I don't think she would appreciate that. I hinted at it and she gave me the stare

I can almost guarantee it'll be there. And so will I

The NY auto show is open to the public staring Easter week end, it's open that entire following week and week end.

I'm sure it will be there. I would love to see some in other colors but I doubt there will be any. Does anyone expect the ZL1 to make an appearance at New York? Didn't someone see a date code on some camouflage that corresponded with NY?

I doubt we will see a new ZL1 before Jan. 2017 as a 2018 model for public release. Previous Chevy Camaro history does not show more than one new performance model release per year. We have seen prototype ZL1 coupes and convertibles testing and I am sure we will see more testing between now and January. But... my opinion only... I do not believe that Chevy will release the ZL1 until it is sure that it does not have the overheating, going into limp mode like the Z06 with the same LT4 engine. Again, this is only my opinion.

The date of the NY auto show was on the prototype. I'm still holding out hope that it will be there. The bad news is it would take some of the spotlight off of the 1LE though, so I could see them holding it back some more. I'm hopeful we will see it though.

I know a bunch of people on another section of the forum that will be disappointed if that is the case XD

There was a POSSIBLE date code (3/25) on the side of the car they were testing at the ring. Would not be surprised to see the ZL1 as GM likely wants to put up a proper Hellcat competitor

Yes I expect it will be there and yes there was a date of 03/25/16 on the camo'd ZL1. I feel 99.9% sure it will be there and 1LE's will be there on the floor. Hopefully we'll see it in different colors. I would love to see the SS 1LE in white!

I highly doubt there will be a ZL1 reveal at the NY Auto Show. Although I would be ok being wrong on that front. Ford did a triple threat launch last year with the Focus RS, GT350/GT350R and the new Ford GT so who knows.

Why would you highly doubt it? GM is practically telling us it will be there and the 1LE was testing along side of it and just got released.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I am curious if the 1LE will be in Cleveland Feb. 26th through March 6th.

Mr. Wyndham, the man in the know, any word on this?
