We dyno'd my car for the first time today on a local dynojet, and the results were very consistent with what others are seeing. We did two runs bone stock, then a 5 minute TB swap to a Bo White ported unit (no cool-down) and then two more pulls with the ported unit. Peak gains were 2 to 2.5 whp with about 1 wtq gain. There were areas under the curve that realized as much as a 2.6 whp and 3.1 wtq gain. Throttle response is a tad better too.
I couldn't believe how much lip the stock TB had, but Bo's work was great. The ported one looked outstanding. Here's the video I made from today. I was pleased with the results. Can't wait to get some more mods on this thing as time goes by! http://youtu.be/CbUftK80qcc

Nicely timed on the baseline then with ported tb! Another thing is what octane? 93? 91? 91 ACN? + temp and altitude? How is the idle (any rpm bounce?) and smoothness under load (any hiccup you can feel)? Sorry for the questions but those are extremely important with ported TB and dyno runs, gives a much better perspective of things haha. Power gains of 2 is normal, especially since porting work isn't about gaining 500000 hp/tq, it's all about efficiency of each chain on the long list of mods (intake - intake manifold - tb - exhaust system, etc are all connected).

No problem on the questions! The car had Chevron 93 octane (E10). It was about 70 degrees and cloudy today, and the DA was around +1100. The car fired right up after the ported TB and I so far have noticed no unusual behaviors (idle, cruise, etc) from the TB swap. Drives great.

Awesome car. Super consistent on the dyno too. Must have been built in the middle of the week lol.
Perfect car to test with.

Great dyno! We also had very good response from our PTB. It along with a tune helped us pick up nearly 4 tenths and 2-3MPH at the track the other day (similar air conditions as our first trip). Now we are curious about headers and CAI (when they reach the market).

Yeah no kidding about the CAI. I love my ported TB and ported IM. Just need to couple it with an intake and ported headers with borla xpipe then a tune and I'll be set for a while.
