The 1SS is not auto dimming, you flip the lever, just like the old days.

I have the 2SS, like stated in OP, and if I had a lever on mine, I wouldn't be asking the question.

Glen, thank you for the info. I will have to see if I have access to a drill...scary thought though...

If your dealer can't figure out how to install some rear plates, I would question their ability to sell cars. You shouldn't have to buy anything and your dealer should be able to see the slight dimples in the rear bumper on where you can tap to mount it.

The dealership I purchased it from was really small. I would also be wary that there are no anchors included. Yes, I have the screws, but I wouldn't really trust those alone, straight into the bumper. They asked me what I wanted done, and I said I would just wait and do the research before I did anything...

I didn't think mine worked very well ether, but I could tell when it got dimmer, once I got the windows tinted tho it seem a lot better. You're does sound like it has issues tho, you should be seeing the onstar lights as well. Sounds like it's not getting any power.

Yeah the buttons won't even work on the mirror either...and it's not a fuse issue. Dealer made an appointment for Monday.

Another question...sometimes when I get into my car and close the door, I get 3 quick honks of the horn...no idea what that means.

Is your second key in the car? It thinks you are leaving car without it.

Auto dimming rearview mirror, does the Camaro really not have one? Or am I just missing something....(Along the same lines, why does his mirror buttons light up in his picture? Is it a different mirror? http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440419)

I read in the intro guide something about an air compressor with sealant under the trunk mat...I didn't see anything in there. Did GM forget to give me mine or something?

Does anyone have any pictures of how the rear license plate attaches? Mine did not have any pre-drilled hole and my dealer was too scared to drill them. The only thing that came with the car was the screws...but I would think there has to be some anchors for those to attach to...

Blind spot monitoring...I spent 7 hours driving through the rain today...and I have realized that apparently rain can set off the blind spot alert...A LOT. Which gets quite annoying to the point that I turned it off for a while. Anyone else have this issue?
Did the dealer set up OnStar for you?

Couldn't agree more. Can't install the plate because they are afraid to drill the holes??? WTH???!!!

I have browsed through it. I will thoroughly read it this weekend.

davet435, I have not gone through the initial OnStar setup yet.
