Mine has never gotten stuck, because for some reason I am in the habbit of grabbing the belt before shutting the door (I think my last car 7 years ago had that problem so I just got in the habbit of doing that). I did however notice the very first time I got out of my car that the buckle was in that possition where it was going to get slammed between the seat and the arm rest. It is definitely an annoyance because like was stated earlier, it is definitely going to lead to early wear and tear. It looks like I'm going to have to train myself to re-position that buckle when I get out as well. unfortunately, I don't think there is any other way around it. A few of us will be OCD enough about it to always move the buckle... the rest of the cars on the market are going to have messed up doors/seats.

Yes, almost every time, I need to get into the habit of grabbing the belt prior to shutting the door. Something they will probably address with the 17 or 18's.

Same here it's annoying. I want to put a stopper in the belt to raise the clip.

Do you run the belt through the loop on the seat back? That should keep it away from the gap where yours is getting stuck.

Also you can raise or lower the upper anchor point on the pillar.

PS: My advice based on Camaro 5, not 6. YRMV.

Mine does it, too, if I close the door before belting up. I'd stayed silent about it until this thread. I'm sure that one of us will think of a fix. I have cloth, but I don't want excessive wear on it, either!

Therevis no anchor point lever or seat latch. My car has luckily stopped doing this lately. And tara i was nore worried about the leather on the door panel before my cloth seats.

Me too! It seems the metal side of the belt clip ends up facing the door most times.
