There is a time for GT350 TP at Chuckwalla 2:00.82, the Z/28 got around that track in 1:58.45, and the GT350R in 1:57.87 So if the 1LE is faster than the TP that puts it right on the heels of the Z/28

Yep. I think if the tires were swapped with some more comprable pilot sport cup tires. The Z/28 would be in trouble depending on the track. The HP would obviously be the Achilles heel on a longer track. I would argue that Carbon Fiber Wheels and Cup tires would put them all on alert! Those Carbon wheels make a huge difference. Just search the GT350R test where they compared it with its wheels and GT350 wheels. Difference was huge!

Like I said I am not doubting that it can come close to the performance, just if it does that is one hell of an accomplishment!

Trofeo's on the z are a more ridiculous tire that the cup 2's on the Shelby R.

Nice pictures, thanks! We can finally see the seats! Love everything about the car. I just wish they had some leather wrapped things in the cabin, it looks cheap and plasticy compared to the 2SS. How much weight could a bit of leather have added?

Thanks Tran! Finally some pics of the seats.

Looks slightly less agressive than the 5th gen recaros.
Looks good though.

Can you explain the difference between the MRC available as an option in the SS vs. 1LE?

My point with the CTS-V's Recaro seats was that those were developed in 2009 - not that you could simply stick them in a Gen6 1LE. The tech exists. Since this isn't a stripped out, track only car - I'm sure a lot of people would've liked to have cooled seats.

More importantly, what was the thought process behind not offering blind spot detection? This played a major role in my personal decision to order a new 2SS as it helps address the blind spot visibility issue.

Based on your response concerning the brakes, is the only difference from an SS with the 6 piston upgrade the rotor size?

I'm surprised Camaro is forged into the V6 wheels but not the V8 wheels.

Wow, those Recaros are nice! Love the suede...the leather trim is just enough. Seems like the stitching is a lighter color...I like the metal Recaro trim piece too, nice touch.

I also noticed that besides the steering wheel and shift knob, the shift boot and armrest seem to be suede as well, very nice.

But, the shorter tires show how this car really could use lowering springs, that will be one of my first mods...

And, who the heck is detailing these cars for GM? Because they suck...I hope they aren't done lol.
