I can't stand the front grille on the V8. Looks like every Lexus and other foreign car out there. This car is unique. Keep it that way. Do something different with the front grille! This alone is enough for me not to buy one.
That vinyl wrapped hood isn't different?

I do like the front end of the LTs better than the SSes, but they still look pretty bad a$$.

I am glad I did not wait for the 1LE. Not a DD car like some had hoped for. I do not like different color body panels unless it is real carbon fiber and then you just see the inside of the part, out side color matched. It has some good features mainly the HUD and Ediff. For me will not make any difference. I am glad they released the Tire sizes as I wanted to copy the wheel and tire sizes although I was hoping they made them square.

Very nice, like the SS a lot!!! Unfortunately it's more than I would want to spend so I'll stick with my car. I do want the seats and the wheels though!!!

Not making me move from my 2SS order thats for sure.

If GM could just adopt some of the Porsche practices of if you want an option, you can get it by special ordering and paying for it. Quit the compartmentalizing of packages and implying what the consumer wants, its what makes posts like this 14 pages long, instead we could all just yap about what were ordering!

In conclusion car looks sharp, Ill buy the seats because I don't like aftermarkets in my drivers, everything else is as expected. No reason for the package to be less than 5k, its a $6000-$7500 package all day and if it isn't GM left money on the table. Everyone will easily pay $45k for this car.....if your bitchin about a couple grand this car isn't for you.

I live fairly close to Mid Ohio, and I'm sure they have track days.

I have owned one performance car in my life, and that was a 2007 G35S with an automatic/Paddle shift tranny. And I'm not comparing it in any way to the Camaro but it was a lot of fun to drive.

Since then I knew I would need a row-your-own, legit track car at some point in the future.

Maybe deep down I know it will end up on the track. Either way, I'll be prepared.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I actually like it a lot, much better than the cheap matte plastic shit on my gen5...

If I only drove it 2,300 miles per year I probably wouldn't care much but my guess is that most people will probably be daily driving their 1LE.
I drive 20k miles a year back and fourth to my office and shop. Today is the first day I put the car in stealth mode from the track setting just to blow out any condensation that has built up in the exhaust.

Personally if you are gear head this car sounds like the best quality music. Although I enjoy listening to how my cars and motorcycles run. When I had a 535i I did not enjoy the sound of the car either.

Just cause we want a great track car doesn't mean we can all throw around an extra few grand. I'm calling it a fail if the 1LE package more than doubles in price. It's a stripped track car. Not a luxury GT model.

I am 100% a gear head and I love the sound of a good engine. That's partly why I had long tube headers, no cats, and "cherry bomb" style mufflers on my 99 SS that dumped out 1/2 way under the car. It was very loud all the time and I loved it. But I also had a very expensive stereo setup in it so I could listen to music most of the time and drown the engine out when I wanted. Why can't one be a gearhead and an audiophile also??? It was a lot easier to add an a/m stereo in a 1999 than in these new vehicles I believe.

As soon as they do you will be complaining that the prices aren't affordable anymore!! What you ask for is a very big piece of strategy to keep prices as low as possible. Allowing everyone to pick any options would mean the price goes up for every car, even one with no options. Look at all the affordable car companies, they do the same and some actually have no options at all outside of the packages.
