Also, keep in mind, PDR is recorded on a small SD card. It's not some magical system that is operated wireless by big brother. If you don't give the submit the card as evidence or you don't have an SD card installed then its no different than every other car on the street.

here is a pic of the slot in the glove box on the corvette PDR

It also depends on your insurance policy. My policy specifically states that racing in timed events is not covered. That means drag racing and autocross are out but HPDE road racing without official lap timing is covered. Call your agent and ask and then you will know.

You better check your policy because most have added lines that coverage is removed just by being on the same property as a track. Which means if you have an accident in the parking lot you need to prove it didn't happen on the track. It also means no way you get covered at HPDE. There was a time about 10 years ago where a lot of insurance companies had the loophole you speak of but I don't know if any now. Each state is different so maybe you are lucky but don't be shocked if you get denied, most likely you'll have to hire an attorney to help make the case.

Double check and post a copy of the fine print if you can.

Most insurance companies have different language like you mention. Mine has the below exclusion for both liability and collision coverage:

During any organized or agreed-upon racing or speed contest or demonstration in which your insured car has active participation, or in practice or preparation for any such contest.

When is the press conference today? Even if nothing can be shared, I would think a "you'll be happy" post can come before midnight tonight

I was thinking the same thing, but I'm trying to keep my cool. The worst part is going to be the 3 month wait after I put an order in. Not looking forward to that!

Will be interesting to see what the package includes. Since the 6 gen is such a great performer already.

All I want from the 1LE 16' is the black rear spoiler, since I'm not a fan of the one that is coming with my 2SS.
