Front plate option

So I know we all hate mounting a front plate, but here in NY, its mandatory, and you WILL get pulled over for not having one. Here's what I did. I skipped the plate mount, and directly bolted plate with a nice frame. All in all, not too bad

Nice, did you mount it to the black plastic strip? Have to drill?

Yes, drilled through black strip. 2 holes where plate holes are. For me its not worth getting pulled over. It is what it is. I think this looks better than the stock mount.

I agree. The stock mount looks like a buck tooth.

With the limited options, the OP's solution isn't bad

Looks better than the OEM option at least. So far I like the sho and go option the best. Waiting to see what JacFab comes up with. I know they're working on a bent frame style, and it sounds like it's going to have a quick release like the sho and go.

In the wind that looks like it could deflect back and rub on the bumper. I'm here in IL also and I will not run a front plate. I have not had one on my 5th Gen either. Never been stopped.

Honestly? You have a new car with holes drilled in it. To each their own
