It's all about porportions. The one on the top looks like ass. The original looks great.

I take it you're more of a boobs person?

I think the chopped top look is sexy. And believe it or not, it's basically what the gen 5 is simulating with its proportions that resulted in the poor visibility issue.

Raising the roof would do nothing to improve rear visibility. Since they went with evolution, the gen6 design works and they exceeded expectations with the overall car. Had they gone retro gen2 they could have improved visibility from the rear. The car is what it is and as others said it screams American muscle

Only GM has that data and I will guarantee it won't be released to the public.

My issue is NOT that it is hating sales. I doubt it is. My concern is how good it could have been if other choices were made.

What's funny is that would do little to hurt visibility on the 69. It makes it look very long with the roof chopped unless it's just from the poor photoshopped picture.

The height of the door sills are much higher on cars these days because of crash requirements. That in it's self hurts visibility. Like i said in an earlier post, I have a 2012 Equinox for a shop car, and it's terrible to see out of.

You get what you pay for. The Camaro has more power and less weight.

Cars like this sell on style as much as anything else. The raised roof makes it looks like a clown car. I think the shrunken rear seat, trunk, and increased price have everything to do with the less than stellar sales numbers. The Gen 5 had just enough practicality to be able to daily driver duty for many. The Gen 6 gave too much away. Oh, and the Gen 5 sold very well for most of it's life, despite visibility just as bad as the 6.

Well, I definitely agree with that. That actually ranks really high on my hot list of reasons not to move from gen 5 to 6. People justify it saying they can fit gold clubs fine. GM designed the trunk to hold clubs intentionally, just like the C7, in order to placate some of their target demographic, so there's no surprise there. But 99.9% of what I want to put in the trunk aren't golf clubs in my case. It's not really useful for holding wider items anymore and goes out the window as far as practicality is concerned for grocery getting or dropping off packages at the UPS store.

People also say why complain about the trunk when it's a sports car. Because I don't really intend to track the thing super competitively, and it needs to retain some practicality. I'd take trunk space over weight savings and downforce. Now it no longer competes with the Mustang, but aims for a different class like some BMW's.

Might be time to consider a WRX bro. You can haul UPS packages for days.

I always laugh when people say they are in a fox hole. Have you EVER been in a fox hole? You are thinking about a pill box. Different things.

You, sir, are correct!

I still say that it's not just visibility with the roof height. From my experience if you're 6' or over, and the car has the sun roof installed, it's a pretty tight fit.

Here's the real problem. My friend owns a Chevy/BMW dealer. He has 6 16 Camaro's most of them loaded, 2 are 2SS's MSRP $52.000, The farther comes into the dealer ship with his daughter and looks at the pretty Camaros, He says to the salesmen, there kind of High for a Chevy. The salesmen states yea its funny I can get you in a BMW 1,2 or 3 series for less than that. The daughter yells yes lets go look at the BMW's. Pricing can be the life or death of a car. And the owner said to me after telling me this story this has happened several times in the past 2 weeks.

Perhaps his daughter doesn't need the $3,000 6-piston brake upgrade. That's the only way your going to price a car over $50k. The car outlined in signature, loaded with factory and LPO options, is under $48. Not cheap but a lot of car for the $$$$.
