In short: Mag Ride is an active suspension, which means it changes depending on a myriad of variables. Competitive racers hate that. They want to be able to predict their vehicle's motions, and responses reliably. DSSV is tuned dampers to the utmost of accuracy capable in a street car, today. DSSV is *not* dynamic, nor electronic...it doesn't adjust.

I don't think they're significantly more or less heavy than MRC, either. I'd be curious to know...
i would like to read more about this specifically: "but it(MRC) is NOT a track star...That's why the Camaro team opted for DSSV on the Z/28."

Its interesting that both GT350 track cars (TP and R) have mag ride. I hope you 1LE buyers can chose.

So why not get a ZL1, or whatever the 6th gen version is called? It's going to have the power, tech and comfort. The 1LE is just an options package. No one is putting a gun to your head and making you buy it. If the option doesn't work for you, don't check the box.

The 6th Gen 1LE will have all the luxury, I don't want a ZL1 because i don't need all that power on my daily driver

Maybe to keep the interior from vibrating itself apart. FPC + a stiff suspension is not a good combo for keeping things snug and together.

GM should code new software for track packages (like the 1LE) to control MRC... when the car is set to a separate track mode, done only via a separate menu screen that explains that you shouldn't be messing with this stuff if you don't know jounce from rebound, that will allow you to tweak fixed low/high speed damping parameters. MRC is not inherently "bad" for serious track use, it's just a matter of being adjusted right for the driver and course. People also like to think they're Niki Lauda and can feel a minute difference in suspension adjustment

DSSV all the way . The 1Le was never about mass appeal , at least for the last 28 years anyway.

Becuase a ZL1 will cost a solid 10,000 more than a 1LE and we don't need more than 455hp to get a good handling car with very nice creature comforts. I still don't understand those of you that argue that MRC shouldn't even be an option. What skin is it off your ass if its an option?

You also act like MRC comes with 4 100lb sandbags for struts. I bet it weighs within 5lbs of a non MRC car and it handles better. I specifically enjoy those of you who cry about the overpricing but think the car should have DSSV. If you think that way then why aren't y'all going to buy the 2015 Z/28's that are selling in the mid to low 50's? It's exactly what you guys are asking for.

Just like you say some should buy a Z/28, we could say you should buy an SS. What skin is it off your teeth that not every Camaro model is built with you in mind?

Why do u think a 1LE is built for u and not mkj???

If the gt3 rs can have mrc why not the 1le

Last I checked the gt3 rs is as track oriented as it gets
