The new SS comes with a good foundation as well. Standard 4 piston Bembos, brake cooling ducts, Trans/diff/oil coolers and three radiator engine cooling.

^^^^^^
This.

With so much competition out there in the muscle/sports car segment, forcing potential customers to choose performance over technology is NOT smart business.

This is also the reason I removed the GT350 from consideration after I did a build and price.

Our preview is several days earlier than that. But I'm not sure I can actually state the when and where.

Remember folks we are not talking about a ZL1 or a Z/28 here, these cars are going to drop in value very quickly just like the 5th Gen SS did. The uniqueness of the GT350 will hold its value much better just like the Boss is presently. If you have 54-56k to spend your investment is much better in a GT350 TP.

IMO the only way to order up the new 6th Gen would be in 1SS form, using employee or supplier discounts, or wait for general discounting.
Using the words "investment" and "car" in any strung-together thought is wishful thinking at best. Price reflects what people are willing to pay. That's why...as awful as they are...dealer markups are a reality.

I really hope I'm not seeing things when I look at those spy pictures. 6-piston brakes on every 1LE would really put the car over the top!

we should hope it will be, then it can be our own choice.

Right?

it should show the same pros/cons on the 1LE as the SS

While that would be great, I kinda doubt that will be the case. But if they did that, bumped up the gearing to like a 3:90, and added wider, stickier tires, it should (even though the car is meant to be a road course car) give it a nice little improvement in acceleration times...

im with u that they'll leave the intake for us to buy as it is today.

the 3:90 would be a nice option but wonder if they won't go that route with the combo of added torque of the LT1 and the less weight

Considering the 1LE is built for a small percentage of Camaro buyers, I don't really think their are many pros to MRC.

That was last year's show.

For 2016 Chevy is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 4pm.

But remember folks...an SS with the 1LE package (if priced like last year $3500) will start at about $41,000 (base SS is just over $37,000 with destination)...not $54,000 like you said. Yeah, if people want to check every option box it could get that high, but getting a 1LE, and then getting all the techno gadgets and doodads IMO would make zero sense.

Doubtful...and I hope not. Many people who are going to legitimately track their 1LE's will not want that, it limits upgrades a lot. Many would in most cases rather upgrade to coilovers and such. It can be an option, but I hope it's not standard...probably won't be cost wise either.

The only people that want to track a 1LE without magride are those that have never tracked a car with a good magride suspension or the people in class racing that are not allowed magride....because it is too good. All of the track tests of the new cars are using magride....if the car would track faster without magride the manufacturers would have a non-magride car at the track for a better lap time. It does not.
