Yes, as I mentioned. But it's not even close to MRC.

Nearly all of this is optional on the Scat Pack. Suede, leather, different color bright trim, heated, cooled, etc...

I know the SRT has the performance pages, but I've played with it. It's cool, but not something you are going to use a lot. Pretty sure there is an Alpine audio upgrade option on the Scat Pack too.

That is an option on the Scat Pack, you don't like it, don't get it.

I have friends with both cars, and have driven then countless times, they are both 99% the same. You can't feel any difference when driving them. They both feel like relatively powerful, huge, heavy cars. Plus, the point was that none of what you mention makes a car fit into a different class just do to minor trim/option changes. Would I buy the SRT, possibly, but don't let marketing fool you...the Scat Pack can be 95% the same car. I shopped these cars very closely a few months ago.

Just sayin'

It's not like it really matters... but with all those options the price difference is under 3k and you still don't get the best features.

The SRT seats are much thicker and more comfortable, not to mention available in nicer full leather (as opposed to alcantara/leather combo).

SRT has an 18 speaker Harman Kardon sound system that's one of the best I've heard at any price. The Alpine system is pretty meh...

I'm really a fan of adjustable suspensions - I hate bouncing around the car when driving through Philly or NY :/ but maybe in an area with good roads it isn't an issue. Agreed that mag-ride is superior.

The brakes are not so much for outright stopping power - although that improves greatly at speeds over 60mph - the feel those 6 pistons and huge rotors provide is noticeable.

Honestly those are all what I would consider luxury features... and not everybody notices or cares about such things.

I found this odd, as a leather/alcantara combo is usually regarded as "better" than just leather, if you look at most nicer cars trim packages. Heck, even on the 5th gen Camaro the better models had alcantara trim...personally, I love the various types of suede and wish the 6th gen Camaro had it as an option.

There's only a $3k difference if someone wants the extra bells and whistles standard on the SRT. A lot of guys pick the SP cars since you can get the power of the SRT, better brakes and better suspension than a RT for $10k less. Again if you want all the extras, that price margin shrinks fast. Another thing is SRT cars don't qualify for Affiliate pricing, so again that helps some save more.

The SRTs got the full leather seating as standard for '16, but alcantara can be had too for no cost. The seats are exactly the same from everything I've seen and read, just different coverings. The alcantara seats were very comfortable in the SP Charger I sat in.

From the SP forums, everyone seems to think the HK is way overpriced for what it offers. I know they were terrible last year due to software issues from what I've read. There's been several updates to Uconnect to fix, but people generally seem to say all of the Charger/Challenger audio systems are not that great. But audio is very subjective to begin with.

On a side note, I'm curious as to why people think Uconnect is better than the new verison of myLink. Personally it was a major upset when I saw the center cluster screen would not even show track/playlist info when playing an iPod/USB stick. It would show FM/XM station numbers, but that's it. Pretty useless for the center display if you ask me. Also Uconnect screen is far too busy and a lot of icons too small to find easily while driving. Add to it they don't offer CarPlay or AA yet, Uconnect definitely is inferior to me.

The U connect to me is not on the same level as MYLink and I agree with this statement.

The full-leather seats are laguna leather... supposedly that brand supplies a bunch of yacht builders and such... really it just seemed like a very supple and natural leather option with a deep saddle color. I like me some alcantara, especially compared to standard painted leather options, but a nice soft natural hide is definitely where it's at.

I like the way Uconnect UI is laid out, but I don't like the colors. One thing I really liked though - whenever I plugged in any phone via the USB port, the system quickly read all the music and started playing it (respecting any "no meida" files in folders); not one Chevy (including my current 2SS) just works with every phone. Aren't there like two or three standards for reading media from a USB device these days..? There's Apple's ridiculous as ever proprietary method that everyone still adopts no matter how ridiculous it seems; there's the standard FAT/NTFS file system that should be available on almost any non-Apple device; and there is some extra stuff you can read from Android/Windows/Palm that will prevent system ringtones from playing in the car... 90% of the time I plug in my Galaxy S6 (the most popular Android phone mind you) I just get 10 or so ringtones that mylink starts playing- then promptly stops playing any audio. I plug in a different phone (HTC One for example) and the thing just starts working Can't wait for Android Auto!

Yep what you describe afflicts many smartphones. That's why I've never bothered to use my phone to store music, except when I had an iPhone. Apple's software just makes for more easy and seamless integration, not because it is great software...but simply because everyone adopted in the OEM world. After I ditched iPhone, I just bought an iPod to keep everything organized no matter what car I am in.

One thing you might find interesting is exporting your iTunes library to a USB drive. From what I have heard from others, myLink works perfectly with it. So if you don't have an iOS device but want something that works like it, download iTunes and export it to USB. I'm betting Uconnect will work with it too.

I wouldn't really want a Harman Kardon sound system in my car, I'm fine with my Bose sound system. My car doesn't have suede seats anywhere, but enough with comments on car seats

Then don't post in this thread. Some of us are actually cross shopping and interested in the cars.

Really? I just ditched my Galaxy S6 Edge, which is a nice phone in design and software, in favor of an iPhone 6S (and no, I did not get rose gold, I absolutely HATE pink). I stored music on both of them, had no problem. After I switched to my 6S, I got all my music onto there from my S6. iOS just seems like a better OS to me after years of owning Galaxy phones. I have never used Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in the three week time I have owned my Camaro.

Like I said... some people won't notice or care, some might not even like it.

Seats are pretty important, you do have to sit in them to drive the car - I can also report that I'm absolutely in love with the seats in my 2SS! Very comfy chairs, even after 4 hours of driving!

Maybe you don't realize this thread is about guys who are cross shopping the Camaro and Challenger, who had a Challenger before getting the new Camaro, or have experience with the FCA cars. So if you fall into any of those categories, feel free to post your opinions. But this is not I just got my '16 Camaro thread.
