Hyper Blue bumpers and body color mismatch

If you have a Hyper Blue Camaro and your bumper(s) is/are a different color and you want to have it fixed, I would contact your dealer. Mine just called today to tell me that they are going to repaint both of my bumpers and blend them with the adjacent panels. It was just way too obvious for me to have to live with the color difference for the life that I owned the vehicle. My only concern is the fitment of the bumpers after being taken off and put back on. Parts never seem to go back on as tight or well as they do from the factory. Hopefully there are no further issues though. If you have the Hyper Blue paint, I would definitely pay attention to the bumpers as how I have seen a lot of them around with the same problem as mine.

It must have been very bad for them to do that for you. A color variation between the plastic bumpers and the metal body is very common and a degree of variation is an industry standard. Generally these parts are painted at a different time and location than the body in white. Glad to hear they're taking care of you.

Yeah. Here is the original thread with a picture of the color difference.http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434494

My main concern though is fitment issues. I really hope everything is tight and fit like it was from the factory. Also, I hope whoever is painting it knows what they are doing!!

If a good body shop is doing the work, if anything, the bumpers may fit BETTER. I had the same issue on my white '11 Mustang GT. The bumpers were like a yellowish white, the body a brighter white. After the repaint (which was perfect) they actually made the bumpers gaps and shunt lines better then they came from the factory.
