I don't see how GM will upgrade the AA, your talking about a lot of cars, they will change the HMI and say that it can't be done with your old car. LOL

Yup, they did the same thing with the new style Impala. Promised an update which never came. They then said it couldnt be done. It is available on the 2016 Impala though. GM should be sued. To anyone thinking this couldn't happen, think again. While I am not saying it will, its definitely a possibility.

Think it's important to post some facts since all that has shown up here is unsubstantiated rumors:

Not making AA available on 8" screens would mean the Corvette, Volt, Impala, Colorado, Tahoe, or Suburban will not get AA on any trim. So I do not believe it is a question of not getting it, just when.

Oh and the Bolt has AA on a 10.2", so like SSport stated...a display driver issue is the likely reason it didn't roll out on launch. But obviously works on bigger screens.

2016 was supposed to be the roll out for AA in almost every GM vehicle, I highly doubt this will be scraped for the larger screens, the hardware side is already working on the smaller screens on the Camaro.

What i am saying is GM will bring it out for 2017 cars and tell all of use that the 2016 it will not work in, but it will when we can get the files to add to 2016 HMI.

The Impala just had the 8" system sooner than the Camaro... according to the link posted a few times before (http://www.chevrolet.com/culture/art...to-update.html), all cars with the 8" system will get AA in March. Currently AA is not available for any Chevy with the 8" system, even the 2016 Impala - we're all waiting for the update.

Also, I will be seriously pissed if they actually end up scrapping it... however unlikely that scenario actually is.

It just seems the 8" system was the first to be developed internally and missed the AA integration/testing schedule that the 7" and 10" systems went through because they were developed right afterwards.

Jeep allowed customers to do there own update, hopefully gm will be the same.

I just got off the phone with Chevy support line and the rep said I will be able to go to the dealer in March and ask for a free update to support Android Auto in my 1ss Camaro without NAV.

I am sure they were just reading old info. Hopefully it does come out in March...if at all.

SO just signed up for the S7 edge and really wanting the Android auto information to start coming out. lol

What are the odds that the S7 will be supported at roll out?

Android Auto is compatible with 5.0 and newer phones. It will work fine.
