Hello from NE Ohio

Hello from the snow belt! On Friday 1/15/16 I became the owner of a pristine 2014 Camaro 2SS convertible with the RS package and about every option offered (I’m guessing, but that’s coming from a newbie). It’s triple black, has under 10,000 miles, Corsa exhaust, splitter, roll bar looking add-on that I hope to figure out what it is exactly, HUD, navigation, and a ton of other stuff. It’s auto with the paddles (helps with the wife’s approval). Yeah, I’m the idiot that buys sports/muscle cars and Harleys in the winter, but I’m also the idiot that saves a lot of money.

I read a lot on this forum before the purchase, and I expect to learn quite a bit more. One of my first orders of business is a second set of wheels and snow tires. I’ll be reading and posting questions, no doubt.

Thanks for posting all of your knowledge and experiences. It really helps guys like me to avoid problems.

Welcome and congrats. I also have a 2014 SS/RS but a coupe. I live in WV just across from the Ohio border. Where exactly in OH are you? Feel free to pm me if you have any questions about your new purchase.

I'm all the way north along Lake Erie, east of Cleveland. Thanks for the offer.

Maybe you can help with what size rims I can fit over my roller skates (for winter tires). I'm also wondering if I can run a second set of wheels without the TPMS sensors through the winter without being too annoyed by TPMS errors.

Mine stays all wrapped up and tucked away for the winter so I'm not to familiar with winter tires. I'm sure others will give their input on that though.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
