2.0 Turbo Delay?
My dealer called and stated that my order was going to be delayed even further because GM has put some type of hold on the Camaro 2.0T production at this time. Anybody else out there heard anything?

My salesman called again today and tried to talk me into changing my order to the V6, but I told him I was already at the max that I wanted to spend. Got the kids through college and out of the house, it's time for dad to relive his youth again, even if it is on a budget. They also offered no more discount to help me out, I would have to pickup the full price for the upgrade. If I didn't know that there was a problem, I'd almost think that it was just another dealer trick to up sell. He stated that they had plenty of allotments available, but that the GM North Central region alone had over 630 2.0 Turbo orders currently waiting for GM to lift whatever the restriction may be. Very disappointing to say the least, but it is cold and snows about every other day lately, so it would never make it out of the garage. I told him not to cash my down payment yet and to call me if he heard anything. Also, told him I would wait 6 weeks to see what happens and if nothing by then, I'd have to look at my options.

Something unexpected happen yesterday. After being told only 2 weeks ago that due to "constraints" my "entry" level first Camaro, RS 2LT A/T 2.0T, ordered 1/2/16 was on hold and that it was only a guess as to when it would be picked up. Salesman even tried to get me to go with the V6 to speed things up, but I was pretty much at where I wanted to be as far as price. Well I am very happy to report that somehow I got very lucky. I am suddenly at 3000 with a TPW of 02/15/16. It was hard to believe with all of the trouble that many on here have had just getting orders picked up or have waited for what seems like an eternity. This morning I went and got a copy of the GM Order Workbench that confirmed everything. I just had to see it in writing. I am approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Lansing and you would think that it would ship directly from there, but the dealer said that it would probably ship to a Chicago holding yard (3 + hours away) and be delivered from there. Very strange. Feels like I won some type of lottery for the first time in my life.
