Fuel spilling out whe refueling

Am I the only one that has this problem. when I review the car fuel spills all over the place.
First I thought it was the gas nozzle but then I realized it happens at other gas stations as well.
It seems that the gas nozzle sits in very flat and not up high so the liquid can run out.
This happens just as it shuts the nozzle off.

I've only filled up once, but I haven't had this problem.

I've got 2k miles on my car. Never spilled any gas at a fill up. Maybe you need to take it in?

Thanks, I'll take it in. Owners manual and sticker under gas cover states to insert it past second flap. It wont go any further.
There may be something wrong with it. I'll take it in.
Just hate giving up valuable time with it LOL.

On another note, the lid seems to stick out quite far

Yeah, no.
I doubt gas quality has anything to do with splashback when it clicks off.
If Shell premium isn't good enough, what is.

I am having the same issue with mine. I have filled twice since I got it and it spilled both times. Did you take it in?

I haven't had any problem. I push the handle all the way in and pull up on it slightly, I only do that because my 2010 would shut off if I tried to hold the pump wide open. The fuel door definitely isn't right.

As far as gas goes. Any top tier gas is good. Chevron and Texaco with Techron are supposed to be the best at keeping everything clean. I know a few years ago the big three were all having Chevron shipped in from 800 miles away to use testing their vehicles. I run Chevron.

It only happens right when the pump is clicking off? My wife's F-150 has the cap less fill also. I have to listen and when you hear it getting close to full quit pumping otherwise it spits a some gas out.

4 fillups so far with no issues. I would definitely take it in, if not just for the gas spilling but that door is off as well, that would drive my OCD crazy!!

Just to note, filled up the car for the first time with this post in the back of my head. Put in $10 worth up front and also noticed a leak in the cap less input. It allowed a small amount of gas to splash back and out off the cap less cover. The gas pooled in the incline and got to the point where is just spilled over into the rubber gasket.

So... I stopped and cleaned it up and tried to mount the gas nozzle in another position with me holding it more at a straight angle. Same issues. Going to have the dealer check it out tomorrow.
