How to keep accent led's on while turn signal activated from factory

If you set your switch to auto, the top accent light will turn off when the turn signal is activated.

If you set it to the switch one which is daytime running lamps the upper accent lighting will stay light up.

If you set the switch to headlights always on the upper accent lighting stays on all the time also.

This will probaly negate the harness that is being developed.

Thanks for the good info but I doubt it will negate the harness. I for one will still want to keep the lights in auto mode. I wonder how much this harness will cost though. Unless you are saying that it won't be possible to develop it now.

It still can be done with harness but just flipping the dial you can switch it. Just offering alternative.

Is it really that big of a drawback that they don't work together? Is anyone seeing the front of their car when they're making a turn and it aggravates them or something? is it a major safety hazard that they don't work together?

I just don't understand the concern with this issue.......

For me it's not a concern about safety or anything. It's just that I think it's stupid and my OCD kicks in even thinking about it. It's a completely irrational thought but oh well.

They are shut off so the turn signal stands out more to other drivers.

Random but semi-related question: does the 6th gen have amber rear turn signals? Or does it just blink the brake light?

Funny this came up, as I've noticed quite a number of cars lately where I thought they had a light out up front... until I noticed it came back on after the turn signal turned off. There's a video of a Charger Hellcat doing burnouts on YouTube and that's the first place I noticed it. Now I'm noticing it on a lot of cars that have those accent lights. IMO, it looks bad: looks like you've got a bulb out. I'd prefer them to stay on.

I was thinking this when i noticed mine would turn off on the side of the signal blinking. Makes some sense as i guess some car makers feel the led can be a distract but rather see the led's just stay lit all the time like at night as they automatically stay on and don't shut off which looks sweet.

Hold off for 1 one more week guys. Gen5DIY is currently fabricating a harness for me that I will be beta testing. I'm OCD about this too. I hate how the accent light under the main headlamp shuts off when the turn signal is engaged. I was told the pricing would be 60 dollars for the harness. There will be a dimming and non dimming version available. I'll post pics/vids once I get it.

The question is, which of these modes outside of auto turns off the lights when locking the doors? Is it just auto?

It has eveything to do with style and personal preference. to most people they will not care, to others it's annoying.

Only auto, but only a flock of a switch again and you wont have to worry about the battery dying because if your like me, yiu check on the car every few hours.
