The Camaro has blind spot monitoring, yes the Mustang has a 12 speaker system... though the Camaro has the standard system and the optional system. When it comes to sound systems I think it is fair to compare one system with more speakers to another system with fewer. Speaker systems should be compared on the quality of sound that they provide and the fact is the optional system on the Camaro is standard on the 2SS car.

Also while the Mustang has a factory optional performance package which inclues a 6 piston brakes at the end of the day performance options are about improving the performance and the 4 piston Brembos perform just as well as the 6 piston setup on the Mustang (if not better). The brake upgrade kit for the Camaro is FAR above the setup on the performance pack Mustang (its a two piece rotor).

The real miss match is the recaro seats and adaptive cruise control, the Camaro has magnetic shocks, NPP exhaust, and a sun roof/ moon roof. Not to mention some of the other features that the Camaro also has which you can't get on the Mustang.

I don't think that the Mustang has wifi, or wireless charging....

From what I have seen the Mustang GT has a lower point of entry, however when you start to add options to both cars the converge on the higher end of the price spectrum (unless you add features to one that isn't on the other).

If you were really being strict then you can add the red interior trim and navigation to the Camaro and you can build a GT premium in a similar fashion. The Camaro comes out to $43,290 for the Camaro, for the Mustang GT prem. you have to add the performance package, if you don't add 401A you don't get blind spot monitoring and lighting/memory features but you do get the shaker pro system. Reverse sensing is $295 for the Mustang, a Mustang GT premium as close as possible to the former Camaro 2SS is $44,370.

The fact that you can get MRC, duel mode exhaust, and a sun roof should be a negative for the Camaro.....

Yes. I ordered a 2SS and as it turns out, the options I prefer are fairly pricey. The paint and interior color both drove up the price (Mosaic Black and Adrenalin Red with red knee pads). I also selected the automatic trans, mrc, dual exhaust, Chevy link w/Nav and the 6 piston brembo brake upgrade, black 5 spoke wheels with black SS wheel center caps and black bow ties. It adds up.

I didn't want to say this as some people have ordered the brake kit, however I think unless you plan on doing a lot of track duty then going with the two piece front brake kit is a huge mistake and a waste of money. The standard brembos in testing do just fine.......

I don't even think that the front brakes on the standard GT350 is a two piece unit....

The gt350 has standard 6 piston on the front... wow, check out the tires they put on that one and the track exclusive R car, wow

They are 6 piston, but I don't think they are two piece rotors.....

Did some research, and the standard GT350 brakes are two piece rotors......

The 6 piston Brembo brake kit on the SS Camaro sits above the GT performance pack 6 piston one piece and lower then (because they are smaller) brakes of the GT350.

I still think it is too much brakes for someone who isn't going to track it, if it was a factory brake option then it would be cheaper. However you get two piece rotors, and I have heard it comes with new brake lines and the works. Essentially you are buying the standard Camaro SS brakes plus an additional $3,000 for front rotors, caliper, and lines when in reality most people only really care about the 6 piston part. GM should just offer 6 piston brakes on the SS as a low cost option or make them standard. I have only heard people say they are 6 piston and no one talks about the other and more important aspect of the kit..... and the actual reason why you are paying $3,000.....

So duel mode like it fights mustangs or the left exhaust is in constant battle with the right?

$53,080 for me and yes i'm Canadian 2016 Camaro 2SS

options
6 speed manual
20 inch black rims
Magnetic ride control
Black front and rear bowtie emblems
Dual mode exhaust
Black sueded knee pads
illuminated footwells

Could easily with all options be over $60000 in Canada which could get a base Corvette.

Is this brake kit put on by the dealer? I kind of thought the brake kits were a factory option .

Not quite following what you're getting at. Are you suggesting that the 6 piston calliper should be offered with the 13.6" one piece rotor? If so, why? The real advantage of the 6 piston brake upgrade is actually the heat dissipation of the 14.6", 2 piece rotor. You get zero extra clamping force with the 6 piston calliper compared to the 4 piston. In fact, the 6 piston callipers will be sized to have less clamping force with the 14.6" rotor than the 4 piston callipers do with the 13.6" rotor. The overall brake torque will be the same though. The need for the 6 pistons is really dictated by the large rotor diameter.
