LT1's in the snow!

We got a little snow today in Cleveland, but no reason I can't have some fun with the cars. Took a few shots of the LT1's in the snow. Kinda cool the cars are almost exactly 20 years apart and that the LT1 engine code is back. Here are some pics and a few videos, one comparing the Corsa catback with the NPP on the '16(Track Mode), just while they idle, they both sound great, in person the Firebird sounded a bit louder.

Walk around:

How do they drive in the snow?
Do you have snow tires?
This is my first Camaro. It came with 20" all season tires. I just put 18" Blizzak snow tires on it a few weeks ago.
With the snow/ice driving mode and the 18" snow tires, I'm wondering how my Camaro will do in the snow and also being RWD, as well.

I've heard mostly all positive responses on how these cars drive in the snow. Some have said they drive better than a AWD SUV.

What are your thoughts?

I don't plan on driving the SS in the snow, I have a 2011 Regal with Blizzaks and they are amazing in the snow. You will be perfectly fine in the snow with your 2016 and those Blizzaks. The only suggestion since your RWD is to put a couple 40lb salt bags in the trunk to give you some extra weight over the rear wheels. Have fun out there, I think we'll finally get a few good snowfalls this month.

Two very cool cars to own and drive ; still driving my '99 SS Camaro and enjoy it. Plan on keeping it and do what you did and, go out and buy a new Camaro too.

Parked side by side and you can really see the dimensional differences.

Ya, amazing how much lower the 4th gens are. The firebird is a good 8-10" longer than the 6th gen Camaro. The 4th gens had a stance more like a vette but with the back seats, I think the styling still holds up today.

I think the front end of the 98-02 WS6 would be closer as they were more aggressive looking, but I like the sleek look of the 96-97. The 6th gen looks more muscle car, the 4th gens more sports car I think.

True that…the 4th gens are are still good lookers…still get compliments on my '99. You got yourself a nice combo pack !
