Always start low and shop your price to lots of dealers. Don't bother with all those pricing services - the dealers are in on it with them. You can do better with good old fashioned hard core negotiating, shopping, and patience.

Remember, it's your money, your car. Don't fall for anything a dealer tells you..... YOU own the negotiating.
EXACTLY - MSRP is just that, Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price, nothing firm on that price. Just a place to start with on the dealer side of negotiation. Invoice price is the absolute most to ever pay for a car if you really want it and willing to pay more for buying it right away, plus tax and title fees to state only. NO dealer, prep, doc or any other type of extra fees. I do same, I give them an out the door price, and if they turn me down I walk and just wait for the call on the phone. They will call you.

Not done yet, I've bought about 30 cars/trucks from them and I'll still be doing somemore negotiating once the car arrives next month. I'll be ok.

I can't emphasize this enough:

OWN THE NEGOTIATIONS!!!

Don't let the salesmen/manager/owner dictate their price.

Frankly I can be the biggest prick when I negotiate for a major purchase. You should be too.

Wow, those are some great discounts. Should have used that dealership, but I had no clue.

Thank you! Here's a Camaro brother who gets it!

You'll be much happier with your purchase knowing you saved money.

Invoice is NOT what a dealer pays for a car. Fact is no one knows exactly what dealers pay for each car because that's between them and the manufacturer. But any published prices including invoice still give plenty of buffer of a profit margin for a dealer. There's things like advertising, dealer holdback, and other ancillary fees dealers get from the mfg when they sell a car that gives them plenty of magin, even at invoice.

You just don't know what are exactly and no dealer will tell you the truth.

That's on reason it's a PITA to buy a car. Any car. Whether it's a Pinto or a Rolls Royce.

Wow, $44k is the most I saw for a loaded 2SS. The closest near me is something $46-47k. That's a considerable drop. Does anyone know how much invoice is on these cars?

There's no doubt the dealers you work with think you're a prick. You obviously don't respect any of the car people you come in contact with. I'm sure they feel the same way about you. How many tell you to hit the door? Please post on this forum the exact price you had to pay for your 2SS.

The difference between invoice and what the dealer pays used to be less than $1k. If I had to guess I'd say it's still that way.

How did I JUST hear about that dealer selling super lower priced cars lol. Im currently 30 minutes from them and I grew up in that area.. I will use them as a bargaining chip since I now live further North. get a solid price then present that to my dealer there and see if I can get my windows tinted for free and some goodies.

When I buy it I will.

Why should ANYONE be nice and get raped by the dealer? What is there to respect about them? It's my car. My money. He wants my business he'll sell it to me on my terms or I move on to the next dealer.

You must not care about your money that much.

Seriously. Why do you care? It's YOUR money.

If you have extra to burn give it to me rather than some car salesman or dealership.

I have to agree. It's business. They would take advantage of a buyer in heart beat! I'm not rude but I am educated and firm. So deal and some don't. In the end I want to walk away with the best deal, there will be plenty of other awe struck buyers that will pad their wallets.

Has any one bought from the aforementioned Dealer? Are those prices legit or bait to get you in?
