A8 Trans Outstanding
With the AFM , paddle shifting manual mode, speed and adaptive driving with mode changes . Definitely the most outstanding and best decision I made when ordering. YOU Won't Be Disappointed

I wasn't sold on it. In drive it's very good. But in manual mode the shift delay kinda ruins the experience to me. If I do go with the A8, I will definitely be tuning AFM off. I don't like the sound with it active, and I still don't think having some similar engine parts getting more or less use then other similar engine parts is optimum for engine longevity.

I love my A8! Paddles are very responsive, as well as manual mode using the shifter. Love how it holds the gears!

The paddles have a near one second delay, I don't consider that responsive. Was like that on both I drove, the Corvette is the same way. But, it's not a DCT, so I guess that should be expected, and I read about the delay in reviews. But as I said, when left in drive (as autos should), it was really good.

My paddle shift on my 15ss A6 is very quick. Gm may eventually have a fix for that. Hopefully

Actually all models do according to the Chevy website. I was not aware of that. The SS also has torque vectoring in competitive mode.
