2016 v6 camaro

Has anyone test drove the new v6 camaro and if so what's you're thoughts? I test drove the v6 and the car in my opinion is so much more behaved on the road and easier to drive than the 5th. I was also surprised on the power of it. It's crazy to think with the new alpha platform and weight loss was that much more difference. Merry Christmas!

Own not test driven.

It feels and sounds like a true sports car. Handles beautifully. Truly inspires confidence with superior handling and balance. I have been driving on wet roads since picking up my car and I can honestly say that I have absolutely no fear of spinning the car out. It feels planted, confident, and predictable.

I haven't yet broke the rear end loose and, I've tried.

The exhaust sounds amazing.

I'd love to feel a bit more power but, I've been holding fast to the no full throttle and 4000 rpm break in recommendation. The power has improved in the 275 miles that I've driven. Look forward to hitting the 1500 mark.

First wanna say, Go cats. I used to go to K-State. I drove the v6 auto the other day and thought it felt a lot lighter than the gen5. The steering is tighter as well which really gives it a sports car feel. The power was incredible on it. The few problems I had with it however are that I couldn't really feel any kind of difference in the drive modes. I also thought the auto paddle shifters were TERRIBLE. The delay on those things was insane! I drove a lexus rc last week and the paddle shifters on that we're a LOT better. Does anyone know how good the Auto paddles are on the c7 Vette? Better than the camaro's I hope! Also, is there any difference between the SS paddles and V6's??

Yes Go Cats! I am from Wamego, ks. I've never been a fan of the paddle shift. Part of it could be in sucked at it because I'd shift to early or to late and I'd get frustrated lol. I think the v8 paddle shifts are quicker and it may depend on what drivers mode you're in AND maybe with a tune you can adjust that. My dealer has a v8 I'm going to see if they will let me test drive the 2ss.

Is that without using the rain/snow mode?

I haven't taken it out of sport mode. I'm considering the fuse pull so the exhaust will be open all the time.

I haven't turned traction control off. Probably why I haven't been able to break the rear end loose. I'll do it in a safe place once I'm past the 1500 mile mark to get a feel for the handling limitations of the car.

My V6 feels amazing. I've never seen or heard my car do this start stop turn off feature though. Paddle shifting has a delay but I'm sure it's because of a tune or something. When at WOT my screen has popped up "performance shift activated" but that was only once. I'M only at 350m right now. I've been driving in the snow/ice and dry and the snow/had option is awesome. Haven't tried to break the tires loose, yet.

Your car does not have the start-stop feature, even though the engine is built for it. Pretty soon though.....

Pretty soon? Like, in a firmware update or something or an added 2016 feature on future cars?

Nah, 17 or 18, vette gets it in 17, is the guess. Never get rattled about this, you can turn it off permanently on start up if you dont like it.
